Timeless Wedding Romance
In the heart of Douro’s rolling countryside, the stunning Farmhill Venue provided the perfect backdrop for a wedding filled with romance and heartfelt moments. I was truly honored to join this day as a second shooter alongside Wild Lace Photography. Of all the weddings we’ve documented together, this one has been my favorite to date.
The atmosphere was effortlessly relaxed and intimate, and I was given the role I love most which is documenting the in-between moments, the quiet details, the emotion, and the unique perspectives that make an album feel honest, all while remaining unobtrusive in the background.
The day was filled with small, meaningful gestures that made everything feel deeply personal. From their private signing of the marriage license during cocktail hour, to the moments they intentionally carved out together away from the crowd, every part of the celebration reflected their connection. Even the way their guests interacted with one another carried a warmth that could be felt throughout the entire day.
It was such a gift to witness how emotion flowed so naturally and not just between the couple, but through every guest present. The intentionality behind each moment made it clear that this day wasn’t about performance or tradition for tradition’s sake… it was about love, presence, and the timeless beauty of simply being together.
Weddings like this are the ones that stay with you. The kind where love feels steady and present in every part of the day and not just in the big moments, but in the romantic glances, the pauses, and the way people naturally come together.
I’m so grateful to Mare for inviting me along for this special day. It was timeless, intimate, and full of heart. It was a beautiful reminder of how powerful it is when a wedding day is simply about connection.
