INTERESTED IN A FAMILY SESSION?
My photography style is a mix of lifestyle and documentary, focusing on real moments, genuine connections, and natural emotions. I aim to document your family’s unique bond—whether it’s the little laughs, tender touches, or playful interactions. While I’ll guide you through some posed moments, I focus on documenting candid shots that show the love and joy that happens when you’re simply being yourselves together
I know that keeping kids engaged can sometimes be a challenge, but I love making photo sessions fun and interactive! I’ll often use games, prompts, or even silly noises to get natural smiles and laughter. I focus on capturing candid moments, so there’s no need to stress about perfect poses—just let them be themselves, and I’ll take care of the rest. And if your little one needs a break, we can always take a pause to keep things relaxed and stress-free.
When it comes to wardrobe, I recommend coordinating outfits that complement each other without being too "matchy." Soft, neutral tones or pastels work well, as do earthy colors for a more natural look. Avoid overly busy patterns or logos, as they can distract from the connection between you and your family. Most importantly, wear something that feels comfortable and reflects your family's personal style! If you're unsure, I’m happy to offer specific outfit ideas based on your session's vibe.
I recommend booking your session about 3 months in advance to make sure your preferred date is available. The next thing to consider is the season that speaks to you most—many families love the warmth and light of summer or the rich, golden tones of fall. That said, I’ve also worked with families who are all about the cool, muted tones of late fall or the magic of a snowy winter session.
Golden hour (about an hour before sunset) is a favorite for that dreamy, warm glow, but we can absolutely find the right time of day to suit your schedule and vision!
I always suggest choosing a location that holds personal meaning—it adds a beautiful layer of sentiment to your session. This could be a local park you frequent with your kids, a beach you love, a favorite hiking trail, the family cottage, or even your own backyard.
If you're looking for something a bit different or more creative, I’d love to chat—I've always got ideas up my sleeve! You might also consider incorporating a family tradition or activity you enjoy together, like apple picking, pumpkin patches, or ice skating.
The goal is to find a setting that truly reflects you and your family’s unique vibe.
